4Pointe Ballet // SUN - 2:30PM

About Class

Sundays // 2:30 - 3:30PM Disjecta Studio This class is designed for intermediate and advanced dancers with a minimum of 3 years of pointe work. 4Pointe is a method of pointe work developed by Lynne Charles, current director of the English National Ballet School. 4Pointe is not a standard pointe class— it is a specific method of pointe exercises performed primarily at the barre. It is designed to build strength and articulation of the lower legs and feet while engaging the entire body. 4Pointe focuses on 5 particular areas which are necessary for all elements of a dancer’s work. This includes alignment, working on the intrinsic muscles, development of articulation, working within intensity and precision to build the necessary speed and accuracy, and high-level articulation. Class is one hour long and is intended to supplement traditional pointe classes.
