Fund Art
GIVE. GIFT. GIVE.
THANK YOU!
Open Space has received its first Commissioned Performance!
This commission came from the National High School Dance Festival, which is an annual event that brings in professional dance companies, universities and over 700 students from all over the country. We’ve been asked to be the premiere dance company and open the entire festival. This is the very same festival that inspired me to dance for a living when I attended as a teenager. This will be the first National High School Dance Festival since 2019, and it's happening at my alma mater, the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics.
This will be a phenomenal opportunity for the company at Open Space to develop our repertory and explore touring opportunities both nationally and internationally. By performing, teaching master classes and being part of an audition panel for 700 high schoolers seeking scholarship opportunities, we are positioned to reach national audiences and boost enrollment for our summer dance intensives. I am so excited for this full circle moment.
We are aiming to raise $10,000 by the end of the year. Would you be able to contribute to our FUND ART campaign to supplement this commission?

Thank you in advance for any support you are able to offer. In just one year, Open Space has become a thriving creative container for artists, students, and visionaries like you. We are incredibly grateful for how quickly we are growing within this burgeoning community!
Much Love,
Franco Nieto// Artistic Director + Co-Founder, Open Space
